Excellence in Imaging Informatics Award Nominations Open June 24 – July 31
The American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Excellence in Imaging Informatics Award. The award honors the best in imaging informatics.
This year ABII is expanding the award to recognize outstanding contributions by both Certified Imaging Informatics Professionals (CIIPs) and imaging informatics vendors who are helping to advance the profession. One winner will be chosen for each category.
“This year we are thrilled to honor outstanding contributions by both CIIPs and our vendor partners with our Excellence in Imaging Informatics Award,” says Charles Socia, R.T(R)(CT)(QM)(ARRT), CIIP, Chair of ABII Board of Trustees. “Vendors play a critical role in advancing the profession and the credential.”
Nominees must demonstrate one or more of these criteria:
CIIPs
- Innovators at the forefront of defining the imaging informatics profession.
- Achievers who seek personal and professional growth.
- Professionals invested in improving quality and increasing value.
- Advocates who encourage entry into the profession or who lobby for greater recognition of imaging informatics professionals and their work.
Vendors
- Contributors to the profession and to the growth of the credential by supporting and promoting the value of the CIIP.
- Promoters of community citizenship who support the profession by funding or assisting CIIPs and their work in the certified imaging informatics community.
- Advocates who encourage people to enter the profession by publicizing and supporting greater recognition for certified imaging informatics roles and employing CIIPs in appropriate positions.
We'll recognize winners on social media, in a press release, and with a feature story on this website. In addition, the CIIP winner will be awarded $500 to use toward continuing education.
