ABII Appoints Luke Bideaux to Board of Trustees

St. Paul, Minn.- Jan. 1, 2026 - The American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) is pleased to welcome Luke Bideaux, BSRT, R.T.(R)(ARRT), Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP), as a new member to its Board of Trustees as of Jan. 1, 2026. Luke brings extensive expertise in imaging informatics, along with a strong background in organization leadership, project management, data engineering, applications training, product management, workflow engineering, and sales. He is the founder, President, and CEO of Vega Imaging Informatics, LLC, established in 2018.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Science in radiology technology from the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota and completed a two-year radiography program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Since earning his CIIP in 2012, he has advanced through leadership roles in the vendor, imaging provider, and consultancy areas of imaging informatics. Luke currently serves on multiple professional committees and work groups, including the Education Committee for the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine, the Radiography Curriculum Revision Work Group for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, and the Continuing Education Committee for the American Board of Imaging Informatics.

"I’m excited to join the ABII Board and contribute to initiatives that strengthen the profession," says Luke. "I’m passionate about promoting the value of the CIIP certification and look forward to exploring pathways for aspiring imaging informatics professionals to enter the field."

Kevin Lawrence, Director of ABII and Program Accreditation, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment. He noted: "Luke brings a wealth of knowledge, innovative ideas, and a strong commitment to the imaging informatics community."

Trustee Charles Socia, R.T.(R)(CT)(QM)(ARRT), CIIP will be completing his tenure as an ABII Board Trustee in December 2025, having served two separate terms: the first from 2008-2013 and the second from 2020-2025. During his tenure, he served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-Chair and Chair.
