Certification is a mark of excellence. Applicants demonstrate that excellence through a process that begins with determining if they are qualified to sit for the Imaging Informatics Professional (IIP) Certification Exam.

After successful completion of the exam, individuals are certified for ten years during which time they must earn and report continuing education credits every two years. At the end of ten years, diplomates must submit documentation of completing additional requirements in order for their certification to remain active. More information about the 10-Year Requirements are available in the downloadable 10-Year Requirement.

The ABII certification program has been developed to be consistent with the standards of The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

If you are considering certification for yourself, please know that help is close at hand each step of the way, starting with this website and the downloadable Certification Guide. Also feel free to ask questions via Contact Us.
